Comedian Rob Riggle is used to playing the room, but he has a unique challenge ahead of him this winter. He has been selected as the featured speaker at the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet. The banquet takes place at 6:30 p.m. on February 12 at the Tony's Pizza Events Center. There will be a membership networking reception held prior to the event from 5-6:15 p.m. Riggle will bring his patented comedic approach and breaks ranks from the more traditional speaker route the Chamber goes. Tickets for members to attend are $65 and they are $85 for non-members. Riggle gained early notoriety in his comedy career as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2004-05 and a correspondent for The Daily Show from 2006-08. He has gone on to star in films like The Hangover, The Other Guys and Step Brothers. Riggle has had roles on television as well and co-starred in the Adult Swim series NTSF:SD:SUV. Since 2012, he has been a personality on Fox NFL Sunday. Riggle has a unique background as a retired United State Marine Corps Reserve Officer. He achieved the rank of lieutenant colonel before retiring in 2013.
