Thousands of people have been wrongly convicted across the United States. Due to the advancement of science, over 300 people have been exonerated through DNA evidence since 1989. Sadly, each one of those individuals spent an average of eight years or more before being cleared of charges of crimes they did not commit. These wrongful convictions expose that there may be flaws in the justice system. Wrongful conviction speakers are advocates for those who should not be imprisoned and those who have been exonerated.
