Terence Tom Henricks served as an astronaut for NASA. Henricks was the first Space Shuttle pilot to accrue more than 1000 hours. He was the sole astronaut assigned to the Shuttle Program Office during the period of return to flight following the Challenger catastrophe. He was accepted into NASA's astronaut training program in 1985.
He also served on four Space Shuttle missions and held a number of important technical and managerial roles at the Kennedy Space Center as well as the Johnson Space Center. Henricks served as an officer in the US Air Force prior to joining NASA (USAF). He served deployments in England and Iceland as a Top Gun.
