Dr. Foale is a former NASA astronaut who has has been to Mir as Flight Engineer 2 and the International Space Station as Commander. He has performed space walks in both US and Russian space suits on Shuttle Mir Hubble and the ISS. He acquired his doctorate in laboratory astrophysics at Queens' College Cambridge in 1982. He founded Foale Aerospace in 2013 shortly after retiring from a NASA career spanning 30 years. In 2017 Foale and Ellen Ochoa were announced as the 2017 class of the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame.
