After playing successful college baseball at NCAA Division II Flagler College, Shane moved to Jacksonville, Florida, to work as an entertainment reporter for FOX 30 News. Shane quickly established himself as a highly recognizable figure across the city and was frequently spotted as the center of attention at important sporting events and social gatherings. After spending two years in Jacksonville, Shane moved back to his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and started working as a fill-in reporter for the renowned KDKA-TV. He honed his editing and creative skills there, working on everything from big productions like co-hosting The Jerome Bettis Show to delivering and organizing station upgrades. While living in Pittsburgh, Shane was regarded as one of the city's 50 Finest, an award reserved for the most accomplished locals. As the lead host of The MIXX and The Daily MIXX, two well-known entertainment shows on the WB partner network, Shane relocated to San Francisco in 2003. (KBWB).
