At his most recent speaking engagement, Shark Tank panelist Kevin O'Leary dazzled the crowd with his tips for building a business model. He was the keynote speaker at the ARA Show on February 18 at the Anaheim Convention Center. O'Leary began the talk by discussing one of Shark Tank's most successful companies, Wicked Good Cupcakes. He went on to talk about effective management, including how to practice time management, set goals, maintain culture and use feedback to improve customer service. As someone who has heard thousands of pitches from entrepreneurs, O'Leary was able to break down for the conference attendees what makes a successful pitch. O'Leary got his start on several Canadian TV programs before crossing over to the states with Shark Tank in 2009. O'Leary has an extensive background in business, most known as the co-founder of SoftKey Software Products. The company became a leader in selling family education and entertainment software and sold to Mattel in 1999. O'Leary also co-founded a successful mutual fund company in 2008.
