Hospitality design professionals have a conference devoted specifically for them and a special keynote speaker that is sure to inspire. Motivational author John O’Leary will speak ar HOTEC Design. The two-day event takes place at the five-star Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona. O’Leary will share his own story of survival with attendees and how business professionals can tackle their own obstacles.

The most memorable portion of the activities is undoubtedly going to be when O’Leary tells his story of boyhood curiosity gone bad. He suffered burns to 100% of his body while playing with fireworks at the age of nine in 1987. O’Leary was given just a 1% chance to live, but fought through five months in the hospital and 12 surgeries. He had to relearn how to walk, write and feed himself, all while suffering amputation of his fingers, but he still came out on top. O’Leary has made powerful life choices that have allowed him to go on to be a successful motivational speaker.
