Michelle Poler has spent her most of her life helping people face their fears. She was most recently able to share her inspirational message as the keynote speaker for a leadership conference put on by the East Central/Sunman Dearborn Middle School chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
Poler talked to the future leaders assembled about living with courage, finding their authenticity and embracing their growth paths. She shared stories about how she tackled her own fears.
The weekend event in Louisville, Kentucky put 1,800 members and chapter advisors through training and other sessions. The students also participated in the three-level team competition, the FCCLA/LifeSmarts Knowledge Bowl.
Poler was borns into a family of Holocaust survivors in Caracas, Venezuela. Naturally, she grew up in fear, but realized that she had to do away with that mentality when she moved to New York City to pursue her master's degree at the School of Visual Arts.
Poler decided to tackle this issue head-on by challenging herself to face 100 fears in 100 days. Through her social movement, Hello Fears, millions of others have also benefited by finding out how to reach their true potential.
Poler's talks can be tailored to a wide variety of groups. Since 2017, she has found great success speaking to students at schools and universities.
