Generational Expert Meagan Johnson Keynotes AAMA Fall Conference
Generational expert Meagan Johnson has a great understanding of how people from different age groups interact with each other. She was able to impart this invaluable information as the keynote speaker at the American Architectural Manufacturers Association. Johnson's main message focused on how Baby Boomers and Millennials can work better together. She explained the differences between each generation Johnson included the audience as well, grouping them by generations and having them list frustrations and positives about the other group. She said that the same stereotypes Millennials carry today are the same things heard about Boomers in the 1960s. Johnson is a member of Generation-X who has been speaking about how to work with a younger generation since 1998. She has a background in sales, working for companies like Quaker Oats, Xerox and Kraft Foods. Johnson became inspired to research the generational gap following frustration with the way Gen-X employees were viewed in her workplaces. She has since given thousands of presentations on the subject. Johnson is the bestselling author of "Generations Inc., From Boomers to Linksters Managing the Friction Between Generations at Work." She has been featured by outlets like ABC Talk Live and NPR.
