Daymond John has been announced as one of the speakers for this year’s Distinguished Lecture Series happening on February 18 at 7 p.m. in the Fayetteville Town Center on the downtown Fayetteville square in Arkansas. This series is a student sponsored program where speakers are selected by a committee of students, staff, and faculty where all speakers are funded by a student-approved fee. John will be sharing his “Five S.H.A.R.K. Points” during his talk, which are his personal fundamental keys to success. What’s even better is that this is going to be a free event and is open to the public, so no tickets need to be purchased. In addition to that, there will be a shuttle service available to take University of Arkansas students to the event and back from campus.
The New York City Native is the founder of the famous clothing line, FUBU, and appears as a regular “shark” on ABC’s hit show “Shark Tank.” On the show, John and his fellow sharks take turns bidding to fund smaller start up companies that they find worthy of an investment. He has partnered with many people on the show, and typically those with apparently businesses like to target him to make a deal. Since 2009, John has invested $700,000 of his own money in other people’s projects,
John will be showing up later this month in Fayetteville, Arkansas to talk to locals about how to be more successful in business, based on this Five S.H.A.R.K. key fundamentals. This is a great opportunity to hear the celebrity talk, especially since it is free and open to the public.
