Heidi Browning is the chief marketing officer and executive vice president for the National Hockey League. She joined the NHL in October 2016. A 25-year marketing veteran, Browning previously led digital marketing strategies and solutions for companies including Fox Interactive Media, Universal McCann and most recently, Pandora. Browning is responsible for executing the League’s marketing campaigns, including strategy, creative development, production and distribution. A pioneer in digital, mobile and social marketing, Browning also identifies and incorporates new marketing technologies and strategies to promote the NHL and broaden its reach across traditional and social channels. Prior to joining the NHL, Browning served as SVP, strategic solutions, at Pandora, overseeing the development of marketing experiences creating value for fans, bands and brands. She was recognized as one of the top “Women in Music” by Billboard. As SVP of client solutions for Fox Interactive Media/MySpace, Browning evangelized the value of social media in the marketing mix and positioned brand communities as a new way to build audience, create engagement and establish a two-way dialogue between consumers and brands. Browning earned a B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder in international relations.
