Kathleen Hatfield Biography

Kathleen is the Chief Marketing Officer for McChrystal Group where she helps to drive brand awareness and preference for CrossLead. In role directing marketing strategy and communications, Kathleen positions the firm’s principals as thought leaders and industry experts through media relations, bylined article development and placement, marketing communications, social media, and publicity.

A communications strategist with nearly two decades of experience promoting and positioning professional services brands, Kathleen has led US public relations for marketing consultancy Prophet since 2012. There, she represents some of the sharpest thinkers and creative problem-solvers in brand strategy, management consulting, marketing, and innovation.

Previously, Kathleen worked at global brand strategy and design consultancy Lippincott in New York, where she was a director from 2001-2004 and a partner from 2004-2012. At Lippincott, she directed corporate and marketing communications, promoting the firm’s capabilities to prospective clients, partners, and influencers through traditional and social media. She also led brand launch PR campaigns for clients including Citizens Bank, Delta Air Lines, Hyatt, Infiniti, McDonald’s, Nissan, Samsung, Sprint, Starbucks, and Walmart.

From 1998-2001, Kathleen was a director in the corporate and financial practice at Burson-Marsteller in New York. At Burson, she managed a team that performed public relations and professional services reputation management for Accenture’s retail, consumer goods, and chemicals operating units. She also ran the financial media relations program for Coach, Inc., partnering with the investor relations team to produce quarterly earnings announcements, CEO media relations, and roadshows.
