The Record Company from Los Angeles is a Grammy-nominated American rock band. Chris Vos (guitar, lead vocals), Alex Stiff (bass, backing vocals), and Marc Cazorla (drums, backing vocals) make up this band. Their music influences are blues musician John Lee Hooker, early punk band The Stooges, and rock bands like The Rolling Stones. Their sound is a solid combination of slide guitar, distorted bass, a Ludwig drum kit and the vocals of Chris Vos. In late 2011, in the bass player's living room in Los Feliz, California, the band was formed; hanging old microphones and recording live. The Record Company have since played in concerts across North America, opening for acts as diverse as John Mayer, B.B. King, Social Distortion, Buddy Guy, Bob Seger, Grace Potter, and Trombone Shorty. In late 2015, the band toured Europe supporting Blackberry Smoke.
