Moncrief was an NCAA college basketball player for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks from 1975 to 1979, leading them to the 1978 Final Four and a triumph in the NCAA Consolation Game over #6 Notre Dame. Moncrief, also known as Sid the Squid, Sir Sid, and El Sid, played 11 seasons in the National Basketball Association, including 10 with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was a five-time NBA All-Star and received the league's first two Defensive Player of the Year accolades in 1983 and 1984.
