Mr. Robison directs Hewlett Packard's corporate development initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and affiliations, and shaping the company's overall innovation roadmap. In addition, he directs the innovation and technique committees and works closely with HP Labs and HP's specialty divisions to create future innovation guidelines. At Compaq Computer Corporation, Mr. Robison served as senior VP and chief innovation officer for strategy and technology. He led Internet Technology and Development at AT&T Labs before joining Compaq. He oversaw a 2000-person team at AT&T that was in charge of planning and developing the engineering for all of the company's Internet developments and services. Before AT&T, Mr. Robison served as executive VP of research and development and then as head of the design productivity group at Cadence Design Systems, the leading supplier of electronic goods and services worldwide. Additionally, Mr. Robison worked for Apple Computer Corporation for seven years. He directed research on various designs and advancements in sight and sound, including processors, video broadcast communications, I/O, and sound. He had a succession of high-level roles while employed at Apple, departing the company as vice president and senior supervisor of the Personal Interactive Electronics Division.
