Sean M. Maloney Biography

Maloney started his career at Intel in its European headquarters, where he worked for nine years as the country manager of Intel UK, the manager of applications engineering for Intel UK, and the marketing director for Intel Europe. Maloney worked as Dr. Andrew S. Grove's technical assistant from 1992 to 1995. Grove is the chairman and CEO of Intel. Maloney relocated to Hong Kong in 1995 to oversee Intel's sales and marketing initiatives in the Asia Pacific region. He returned to the country in 1998 to lead Intel's global sales group. In 1999, he was elevated to senior vice president, and in 2001, to executive vice president. That year, he became the leader of Intel Communications Group (ICG), and in 2004, he joined David Perlmutter as co-manager of the Mobility Group. Maloney was named Chief Sales & Marketing Officer in July 2006.
