Sarah Wildman has lived in and covered events in Berlin, Berlin, Vienna, Madrid, Washington, and Jerusalem. She was the Wesleyan Writers Conference's 2014 Barach Non-Fiction Writing Fellow. In recognition of "excellence and creativity" in his coverage of Europe, Wildman received the German Marshall Fund's 2010 Peter R. Weitz Prize, the American Jewish Press Association's 2011 Rockower Award for commentary, and the Lowell Thomas Award for travel writing in 2008. The Arthur F. Burns Fellowship in Berlin, the American Council on Germany Fellowship in Berlin, the Milena Jesenská Fellowship at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna, Austria, and the Pew Fellowship in International Journalism are just a few of the grants and competitive fellowships that Wildman has been awarded (now called the International Reporting Project). She was awarded a Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting funding in March 2013 to cover Jerusalem's future. While a visiting scholar at the International Reporting Project at the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies, Wildman authored Paper Love for Riverhead/Penguin. Wildman frequently contributes to the online editions of the New Yorker, Slate, and the New York Times. She has worked for The New Republic as a staff member, a senior journalist for The American Prospect, and The Advocate's Washington correspondent. The Daily Beast, Newsweek, The Guardian, The Nation, The Washington Post, Travel and Leisure, New York, Departures, The Christian Science Monitor, Elle, Marie Claire, O the Oprah Magazine, Real Simple, Glamour, and Jerusalem Report are just a few publications that have published her articles. 2014 saw the publication of her book, "Paper Love: Looking for the Girl My Grandpa Left Behind."
