Rich The Kid, born Dimitri Leslie Roger in Queens, New York, is a well-known American hip-hop artist and record producer. He has collaborated with several artists, including Wiz Khalifa, Peewee Longway, Young Thug, Frank Ocean, and Kirko Bangz. Rich grew up speaking Haitian Creole fluently, as his parents are of Haitian descent. After his parents' divorce, he moved to Atlanta with his mother when he was 13. Initially, he listened to Nas, Jay Z, Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., and 50 Cent. Still, he later shifted to listening to T.I. and Young Jeezy after moving to Atlanta. He changed his first rap name from Black Boy The Kid to Rich The Kid. In 2013, Rich The Kid released his debut solo mixtape, Been About The Benjamins, and collaborated with Migos on a series called Streets On Lock later that year. In August 2014, he released his second solo mixtape, Feels Good To Be Rich, featuring artists such as Young Thug, Rockie Fresh, Kirko Bangz, Yo Gotti, and Riff Raff. In November 2014, he released the single On My Way, featuring Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel from the GS9 group.
