Rev. Jamal Harrison Bryant founded Empowerment Temple, the fastest-growing AME church in history. Despite starting with only 43 members, the church has grown to over 10,000 in just seven years, focusing on empowering its members in every aspect of life. Bryant has opened an elementary school and adult learning facility to promote education, teaches members to be creditworthy and provides tools to become entrepreneurs, and is moving to open a chain of Black-owned gas stations called Power Gas.
