Phillip E. Pfeifer is the Richard S. Reynolds Professor of Business Administration at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Stanford University and has been a faculty member at the Darden School since 1987. Pfeifer is an expert in operations management and has published numerous articles on topics such as inventory management, supply chain management, and operations strategy. He has also been an advisor and consultant to many companies, including DuPont, General Motors, and IBM.
