Neil Sedaka is a pop singer composer pianist and producer. His music career began in 1957 when he was one of the founding members of The Tokens a doo-wop male vocal group. Sedaka is also known as one of the primary songwriters in the Brill Building era of the late 1950s through the early 1960s. Sedaka dated Carole Klein who was to become legendary singer-songwriter Carole King back when he was in high school inspiring the 1958 hit Oh! Carol. In turn King penned a song in response appropriately titled Oh! Neil. Some of his best-known songs are Breaking Up is Hard to Do Laughter in the Rain and You Mean Everything to Me.
