Lorraine Carli is the National Fire Protection Association's Vice President of Outreach and Advocacy, where she is in charge of all media and public affairs activities, editorial content for the organization's websites, the magazine NFPA Journal, and the Wildland Fire Operations and Public Education Divisions. Lorraine is president of the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition and a member of the Board of Directors for the Electric Safety Foundation International, in addition to serving on the Phoenix Society's Board of Directors (ESFI). She has also worked in health care, medical technology, government, and non-profit organizations in public relations and marketing. Lorraine has a master's degree in teaching and a bachelor's degree in journalism. She also teaches graduate public relations classes at Suffolk University in Boston as an adjunct professor.
