Kelly Cutrone Biography

Kelly Cutrone was born on November 13 1965 and is from Camillus a small town in upstate New York. She got a nursing degree in Syracuse University. After that she went to New York and got a job driving all over the city educating nursing in the Jenny Craig program. She lived in a dangerous neighborhood partied hard and got evicted when she quit her job and couldn’t pay rent. Since she’d made friends partying (and was even starting to informally organize events) she couch-surfed for a while and then shacked up with Anthony Haden-Guest Vanity Fair art critic . He set her up with her first ever PR job with music publicist Susan Blond (who represented Michael Jackson and Fine Young Cannibals to name a few).
When she was 21 she started her own public relations firm with Susan Blond intern Jason Weinberg: “Cutrone and Weinberg”.
At 22 she married Ronnie Cutrone 17 years older than she who is a pop artist best known for his large-scale paintings of America’s favorite cartoon characters. They had a roller-coaster relationship. In her book – If You Have to Cry Go Outside - Kelly reveals that she felt deeply for Ronnie and was still in love with him when the relationship ended.
