His television credits include “Skins” (2007–2010), “National Treasure” (2016), and “His Dark Materials” (2019–2022), while film work includes “Wonder” (2017) and “Enola Holmes” (2020). Thorne wrote the screenplay for Apple TV+’s “Severance” (2022–present), earning Emmy nominations. Known for tackling social issues like disability and abuse, he often draws from personal experiences, including his chronic illness.
