Previously he worked as a Financial Analyst for L'Oréal Paris and he also worked as a Business Development Analyst for an Irish manufacturing company near Dublin.

Giovanni graduated Summa cum Laude (honours) with an International Master of Science in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and he was visiting scholar in the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business and before in London School of Economics and Political Science. During his undergraduate studies, he graduated Summa cum Laude (honours) with a double diploma, a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and a Higher National Certificate in Business Studies from Athlone Institute of Technology (Ireland).
