Utterly captivated by Music since age 5, Freddie began performing worldwide with Brazilian master Sergio Mendes at age 23, where Universal Music discovered and subsequently released three top charting, fiery and sensual solo albums: “Midnight Passion”, “Sol to Soul” and “Freddie Ravel” featuring the #1 single in America, “Sunny Side Up”.

Jazziz describes Freddie’s music as: “a thrill ride of World Beat Fire to smooth originals” and the Los Angeles Times writes: “Ravel masterfully blends jazz textures, rock energy & tropical rhythms”. This opinion was further solidified as Freddie’s reputation as a multi-faceted Producer, Composer & Live Performer soared to the top echelons of the music industry with the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire and Al Jarreau under his directorship.

Subsequent invitations from Madonna led to joint MTV and “Evita” appearances while collaborations go on with many of music’s top production teams including J Lo, Marc Anthony, Quincy Jones, Prince, Taylor Dane, Herbie Hancock and Carlos Santana. Recent news includes a GRAMMY nomination for “Givin’ it Up”, the title track of the Al Jarreau/George Benson Duet album, along with “Excellent Adventure”, the title of Jarreau’s November 2009 release.

In this “Keynote Concert” he reveals to audiences ranging from teens to Fortune 500 Companies how MUSIC connects and empowers their personal and professional lives. With rave reviews from clients that range from NASA to Wal-Mart and renowned visionaries such as Dr. Deepak Chopra and Jack Canfield, the program continues to delight and enrich audiences worldwide. This philosophy also drives Freddie’s philanthropic work which for the past eight years has led to his position as the Spokesperson for ANGELCARE, a charity dedicated to saving lives and giving hope to underprivileged children for the past 33 years.

In March of 2009, the City of Los Angeles presented Freddie the “Los Angeles Award of Recognition” for his contributions to the city as the “Motivational Maestro”.

In June 2009, Freddie accepted a personal invitation from rock legend Carlos Santana to join his band. Recent performances include the very first “rock residency” in Las Vegas, a European Tour, the recording of Santana’s soon-to-be-released album and the upcoming 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
