Franco Bernabe Biography

Franco Bernabè has been the CEO of Telecom Italia since December 2007.

Prior to this assignment he held the position of Vice Chairman of Rothschild Europe and Managing Partner and Founder of FB Group. Between 1992 and 1998 he was the CEO of ENI, a company that he joined in 1983 and took to a successful privatisation in 1995. He has served as a special representative of the Italian Prime Minister for the reconstruction of Kosovo (1999-2000) and Chairman of La Biennale di Venezia (2001-2003).

Mr Bernabè is also Chairman of the Modern Arts Museum of Trento and Rovereto, a position he has held since 2005. He is an independent Director on the Board of PetroChina and has served as an independent Director of several listed companies and non-profit organisations, including the Council of Foreign Relations and the Peres Center for Peace.
