Erik Walden Biography

Erik Walden, a linebacker with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League, was born on August 21, 1985, in Dublin, Georgia. The Dallas Cowboys selected him in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He attended Middle Tennessee State University and played football there. Walden has previously played for the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs. On October 31, 2010, the Packers signed Walden off the street. On January 2, 2011, Walden had his greatest game for the Packers, starting against the Chicago Bears. Walden was selected NFC Defensive Player of the Week after leading the club with three sacks and 16 tackles. He has twenty tackles in nine games this season (two starts).
