Donald Schneider Biography

Donald Schneider is the Creative Director of H&M, HENNES & MAURITZ in Stockholm, where he directs all creative aspects of the H&M brand worldwide. H&M operates 3,500+ stores in 53 countries. Donald initiated H&M's collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld, followed by collaborations with Versace, Marni, Margiela, Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang and David Beckham. Prior to taking over the creative helm at H&M, from 1994-2002 Donald was Art Director of French Vogue and Vogue Hommes International in Paris; in the years before Donald was Art Director at Fame and East Village Eye in New York; and then at German Vogue and Tempo, both in Germany.

Donald is Founder and Creative Director of Donald Schneider Studio in Berlin, creative agency for art direction and design. His clients include: Brioni, Cartier, Chloé, Condé Nast, H&M, Hugo Boss, Karl Lagerfeld, Russian Standard Vodka, Stern Magazine, Ultra Records, Van Cleef & Arpels, etc.

Donald has an MFA in graphic design, from Kunstgewerbe Schule Zurich and Basel, Switzerland. He is both Swiss and American.
