Bob Losure is a former CNN Headline News host who has worked as a newscaster, keynote speaker, and emcee all around the world. He's also a testicular cancer survivor. Bob's career began in the Detroit market as a radio news anchor at the renowned Big 8, CKLW, a station that reached 27 states with the music of Motown, just after graduating from the University of Tulsa with a journalism degree. Losure worked as a local TV news anchor for CBS's Tulsa affiliate for nine years before being diagnosed with cancer and finally obtaining a job with CNN. Bob covered such historic events as Hurricane Hugo, the San Francisco Earthquake, Manuel Noriega's capture and return to the United States and Nelson Mandela's visit to the United States at Headline News. His time at CNN provided him with a level of experience that just a handful of national anchors have had. Five Seconds to Air, his autobiography, focuses on his CNN career as well as the amusing things that go wrong when broadcasting live television news. Bob offers a very intimate look at his own 1985 fight with testicular cancer in the book from Providence House Publishers, and how it inspired him to seek and obtain the CNN Headline News anchor job.
