Gigi Loren Lazzarato better known as Gigi Gorgeous is a Canadian YouTube celebrity makeup artist and glamour model. She is noted for publicly coming out as a transgender woman and maintaining her public image and YouTube channel during and after her transition.
Gigi Loren Lazzarato was born Gregory Alan Lazzarato on April 20 1992 in Montreal Quebec Canada and raised in the Toronto suburb of Mississauga. She is the daughter of David Lazzarato the audit committee chairman at Yellow Media and Judith Lazzarato an investment adviser. Her family is of Italian and French heritage and she was raised in the Roman Catholic faith. She has two brothers Adam and Cory Lazzarato. As a child Lazzarato competed in diving competitions. In 2006 her family relocated to the Rosedale neighborhood in Toronto. She attended Iona Catholic Secondary School. She graduated from Etobicoke High School in 2010 and went on to attend George Brown College. At George Brown she studied fashion but eventually left the university to focus on her YouTube career. Her mother died in February 2012.
Prior to her transition Lazzarato was known as Gregory Gorgeous and operated a makeup tutorial YouTube channel that was started in 2008. At the time she identified as a homosexual male. Since her transition her YouTube channel started to include more vlog fashion and lifestyle videos. In January 2015 her YouTube channel reached over one million subscribers and over 130 million views.
