As America's first African-American female combat pilot, Vernice "FlyGirl" Armour has a story that packs a punch. The Railway Supply Institute is excited to welcome her as the keynote speaker for the Railway Interchange exhibition and technical conference's general session.
The event takes place September 23 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Armour will talk about how you can "leverage your breakthrough mentality" and "get gutsy."
There will also be a major exhibition at Railway Exchange that is 75% sold-out. Registration for the education and technical portions of the event opens on April 2.
Armour made history by going from beat cop to combat pilot in three years. She went on to serve two tours of duty in Iraq before starting her own consulting and training company.
Armour produced results right off the bat, generating six figures in revenue during the first year and over $1 million in the first five years. She shared her journey to success in the 2011 book, "Zero to Breakthrough."
Armour now delivers keynotes at top leadership conferences and in front of Fortune 500 companies. She is also a member of the Comcast/NBC Universal Joint Diversity Council.
