William Kerr is the faculty head of the Launching New Ventures program for executive education and the co-director of Harvard's Managing the Future of Work initiative. Bill has won the Harvard Distinction in Teaching award as well as the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundations Prize Medal for Distinguished Research in Entrepreneurship. Bill's research focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship. The second line of inquiry looks at entrepreneurship and agglomeration, paying particular attention to how government regulations support or obstruct the entry of new businesses and the development of clusters. Entrepreneurial financing and angel investments are the last areas of attention. In addition to serving on the editorial boards of numerous academic journals, Kerr is a Research Fellow of the NBER and Bank of Finland. He has also won numerous awards for his research papers.
