With the publication of his book Boombustology: Spotting Financial Bubbles Before They Burst in 2011, Mansharamani initially attracted significant media notice. He has subsequently taught people how to manage risk, negotiate uncertainty, and look into the future in a variety of important sectors, including China, food, the global economy, Africa, housing, investment, financial cycles, energy, and much more.

He has more than 20 years of expertise investing in both public and private markets as a worldwide equities investor. He was SDK Capital's Managing Director (and its predecessors).

He frequently contributes to Bloomberg, MarketWatch, CNBC, Forbes, Fortune, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Yale Global, The South China Morning Post, The Korea Times, The Khaleej Times, and The Daily Beast, among others. He is also a regular commentator in the financial media.

His current research interests include bubbles in both financial and non-financial markets, the unsustainable dynamics of food and fuel, and the relative utility of specialists vs. generalists in negotiating complex uncertainty and risk. He presently has a position on the board of directors of the London-listed closed-end investment vehicle known as the Africa Opportunity Fund.

He formerly held positions on the boards of the Association of Yale Alumni, the US-Pakistan Business Council, Interrelate, and ManagedOps. He also served as chairman of the Torit Montessori School in Boston. Mansharamani got a Ph.D.

and MS from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, an MS in Political Science from MIT, and a BA from Yale University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
