American novelist and short story writer Veronica Roth is best known for the Divergent trilogy—Dirigent, Insurgent, and Allegiant—which debuted at the top of the New York Times bestseller list. Dissimilar won the 2011 Goodreads Favorite Book award and was named the best work of young adult fantasy and science fiction in 2012. Roth was essentially raised in Barrington, Illinois, despite being born in New York City. Roth left Barrington High School and went on. After attending Carleton College for a while, she transferred to Northwestern University to enroll in their experimental writing program. In 2011, she married photographer, Nelson Fitch. They reside near Chicago. During the winter break of her senior year at Northwestern University, Roth continued to write Divergent. Her first novel was published, and before she graduated from college, the picture rights were sold, launching her career. Summit Entertainment purchased the Divergent deal's picture rights from Roth. Divergent, the adaptation of the first novel in the arrangement, began to be recorded in April 2013, and the movie was released in March 2014. On March 21st, 2014, Lionsgate approved the Insurgent movie adaptation. The third novel Allegiant will be divided into two films, Allegiant - Part 1 and Allegiant - Part 2, according to Highest Point Entertainment. Part 1 is scheduled to be released on March 18, 2016, and Part 2 on March 24, 2017.
