Tom Keene Biography

The host of Bloomberg Surveillance on Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg Television, and Bloomberg Podcasts is Tom Keene, editor-at-large at Bloomberg News. Keene grew up in Rochester, New York. He has a degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a student in the London School of Economics and Political Science's external program. He issued the folk CD "Searching for Ward and June" in 1992. Keene is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a participant in the Economic Club of New York, the National Association of Business Economics, and the CFA Institute. While working for Bloomberg LP, Keene contributed to the creation of Bloomberg Surveillance, a radio show where he and his co-hosts (previously Ken Prewitt, Michael McKee, David Gura, and Jonathan Ferro) interview guests and offer analysis of recent financial news and economic trends. The program is available across North America on Sirius XM Radio satellite channel 119, as well as on WBBR 1130 in New York City, Boston WXKS 106.1FM/1330AM, San Francisco KNEW 960, and Washington WDCH-FM 99.1. In 2010, Keene started hosting the television show Surveillance Midday, which covered daily business news from Wall Street. Since June 2012, Keene has also hosted the weekday morning Bloomberg Television program Bloomberg Surveillance with Francine Lacqua.
