Celestino the chef The executive chef and proprietor of Yia's by Chef Tino Inc., Tianna's Latin Bistro, and Tino's Latino: Puerto Rico on the Cooking Channel is Tino Feliciano. Chef Tino is renowned for his enthusiasm in the kitchen, his aptitude as a teacher, and his ability to make upscale cuisine affordable for everyone. He calls his dishes "sencillas," which translates to "simple." At the tender age of 15, Tino and his father started El Patio Garden in Aguada, Puerto Rico. Beginning in 1998, Tino began to tour the globe, collecting tastes that he would eventually transform into his own. He expanded his knowledge and skill in the kitchen while working in New York City at AZ with Chef Patricia Yeo, WWF with Chef Sean Guy, and Planet Hollywood. In 2002, Tino returned to Puerto Rico and was hired by Chef Efran Cruz at the Mayaguez Resort & Casino. He was able to capture the flavor of the neighborhood restaurants there. He and his wife Yimara established Yia's By Chef Tino Inc. in 2004, a personal chef service that caters to patrons seeking culinary experiences outside of typical Puerto Rican fare. In his native Isabela, Puerto Rico, he launched his own eatery, Yia's by Chef Tino, in February 2007. He is now a guest on the local TV show Entre Nosotras, which is broadcast on WAPA and WAPA America in Puerto Rico and several regions of the United States.
