The chairman, president, and CEO of The Allstate Corporation and The Allstate Insurance Company is Thomas J. Wilson, 50. Since 2007, Wilson has led Allstate as president and CEO. In May 2008, he was elected to lead the board of directors of The Allstate Corporation. Wilson oversaw the business operations for Allstate Protection's property-casualty insurance division from 2002 to 2006. He also held the positions of president and COO of The Allstate Corporation between 2005 and 2006. Wilson served as chairman and president of Allstate Financial from 1999 to 2002. Allstate Financial offers life insurance, additional accident and health insurance, annuities, banking, and retirement solutions. Wilson was Allstate's chief financial officer from 1995 until 1998. He was vice president of strategy and analysis at Sears, Roebuck & Co. before joining Allstate in 1995. He served as Dean Witter Reynolds' managing director of mergers and acquisitions from 1986 to 1993 before joining Sears. Additionally, he handled a number of financial jobs while working from 1980 to 1986 for the Amoco Corporation. The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago has Wilson on its board of directors. He is on the boards of Catalyst, the premier non-profit promoting women in business, the Museum of Science and Industry, and Rush University Medical Center. Additionally, he belongs to the Business Roundtable, the Financial Services Forum, the Young Presidents' Organization, and the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago. Wilson, a native of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
