Taran Killam had a rookie appearance in Naked Gun 33 1/2: The Final Insult in 1994. Additionally, Amanda Bynes' The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon included a segment about Killam. During MADtv's seventh season in 2001–2002, Killam took on a position as an included player. Killam was the youngest cast member to ever appear on MADtv when she joined at 19. He also played a regular cast member in Nick Cannon's Wild 'N Out's third and fourth seasons. Killam co-starred in the 2005 television pilot Nobody's Watching, which was never shown on network television. The pilot gained popularity online and was continued as webisodes from 2006 to 2007. In the 2004 Disney Channel Original Film Stuck in the Suburbs, Killam costarred. Following MADtv, Killam appeared in episodes of Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Boston Public, Drake, and Josh Roswell, among other TV series. Killam was a member of the Los Angeles-based improvisational and sketch parody company The Groundlings and appeared as a guest on TV shows. In 2012, he left the Main Company.
