To better serve all advertising partners, SY now takes a significant leadership role in increasing the synergies of Tencent's advertising properties across various business areas. As Chairman of Tencent's Group Marketing and Global Branding, he also represents Tencent's leadership team in managing the company's worldwide strategic alliances. SY received the "Media Person of the Year" award at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity in 2015. In addition, he was appointed Chairman of the China Media Assessment Council in 2016, the country's first body for media accreditation and evaluation.
