Along with a group of engineers and product manager Bret Taylor, she introduced Google Local and Maps there. She took charge of Google's overseas operations in Asia Pacific (APAC) and Latin America (LATAM) in 2004, and in 2005 she was promoted to vice president before being named president of APAC and LATAM in 2008. Google's expansion into 103 countries in the Asia Pacific and Latin America is due to Singh-Cassidy. Singh Cassidy departed Google in 2009 to take a CEO-in-Residence position with the startup financing company Accel Partners. 2010 saw the appointment of Singh Cassidy as CEO of Polyvore. In order to boost customer connection with items and encourage direct sales through videos, Singh Cassidy came up with the concept for a brand-new platform in October 2010. In January 2011 in San Francisco, California, she established JOYUS. In August 2011, Joyus.com opened to the general public. Accel Partners, Harrison Metal, Joel Hyatt, Venky Harinarayan, and Anand Rajaraman contributed $7.9 million to Singh Cassidy's initial round of investment. A second round of investment for JOYUS totaling $11.5 million was secured in 2012 from Interwest and Time Warner as well as previous backers. In 2012, Internet Retailer listed JOYUS as one of the "Hot 100" e-commerce sites to watch, and in 2013, Brand Innovators listed JOYUS as one of the "Top 25 Ecommerce Companies to Watch." Both the 2013 L'Oreal Next Generation Digital Awards and the 2013 Brightcove Innovation Awards were given to JOYUS. Apple highlighted JOYUS as one of the top Lifestyle retail applications for the 2014 holiday season.
