Sreenath "Sree" Sreenivasan is the Chief Digital Officer of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a New York City-based technology writer. He has also worked as an academic administrator and lecturer at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, as well as the university's overall Chief Digital Officer. When the Metropolitan Museum of Art sought its first chief digital officer in 2013, it "wanted someone who was not from the museum world or the art world," according to Sree Sreenivasan. "As a result, I am extremely qualified." Sreenivasan, a journalist and former dean and chief digital officer at Columbia University, uploaded all 2,600 pieces of the Met audio tour to SoundCloud.
