Steve is on the boards of directors for Aquion Energy AutoGrid Control4 [CTRL] Pocket Refactored Materials Sentient Energy Beepi, and Sunrun. Previous initiatives include PrivateCore, which was acquired by Facebook. Steve launched his first company when he was 13 years old. Steve's Snowblowing Service taught him what it meant to be a business visionary - and to grasp every open door he came across, regardless of whether his hands were cold and numb in the process. The child who wanted to be a racing car driver grew up to be a business visionary who works at the intersection of company innovation and structure. Steve's innovations have earned him 40 licenses and several plan grants, including the Business Week Design of the Decade Award red dab configuration grant 2009 IDEA99 Gold and Bronze Awards NeoCon Gold and Most Innovative New Product Awards. He joined Foundation Capital in 2007 from Ning, a social platform he helped launch in 2004 and where he was Vice President of item and development. Steve was previously the Director of Engineering at Immersion [IMMR], a pioneer in the field of material input and human touch innovation. Already, Steve was a venture leader and configuration engineer at IDEO, where he created over a dozen successful products for advertising driven corporations including Cisco, Nike, BMW, Steelcase, McDonalds, and Caterpillar.
