Tabula was established in 2003 by Steve Teig. Steve Teig was the CTO of Cadence Design Systems before creating Tabula. Steve joined Cadence after it acquired Simplex Solutions (NSDQ: SPLX), where he was also CTO. Steve created and managed the technological development for Simplex's X Architecture, which dramatically improves chip design by using diagonal wiring throughout. Steve graduated from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is the owner of nearly 200 patents. He broke Thomas Edison's record for the most patents submitted by an individual in a single year in 2002.
