Steve's breakthrough work as the CEO in charge of culture, leadership, people, and organizational development at LinkedIn is generally regarded as THE textbook example of how a business can utilize its culture to grow profitably in record time. Steve's efforts in developing the LinkedIn culture prompted Stanford University to create a case study about it, which is now taught to their business students. Steve was the VP of Human Resources at Electronic Arts from 2004 to 2009, and the Global VP of Human Resources at PMC-Sierra from 1998 to 2004. Prior to this, Steve was Director of Human Resources for the Cisco Asia Pacific region (based in Singapore) and Director of Human Resources MA, where he assisted Cisco in building its renowned MA integration team, where he led over 50 acquisitions and was recognized for leading global acquisition integration practices. Steve has a BA in History from Wesleyan University and an MA in Human Resources Development from the University of San Francisco. Today, he is a highly sought after speaker and adviser, lecturing at institutions such as Stanford University, The Ivey School of Business in Shanghai, IESE in Barcelona, and the University of Sydney.
