Scott A. Dulchavsky, M.D., Ph.D., graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine after earning his undergraduate degree in physiology from Michigan State University. Dr. Dulchavsky was awarded the Helen Duroy Traveling Scholarship, allowing him to study at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and Duke University Medical School under Dr. David Sabiston. Before returning to Detroit, he was the director of the careful investigation and an associate professor of medical procedure at SUNY-Stonybrook. In 1998, Dr. Dulchavsky attained the tenured medical procedure lecturer position at Wayne State University. He was the Chief of Surgery at Detroit Receiving Hospital, Director of Surgical Critical Care, and a go-to expert at the Detroit Medical Center. The Roy D. McClure Chairman of Surgery and Surgeon in Chief positions at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, is now filled by Dr. Dulchavsky. At Wayne State University, Dr. Dulchavsky completed a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics, where he studied the use of quality therapy to enhance twisted healing in disease conditions. More than 20 post-doctoral colleagues have relied on him as an exploration guide. He serves as NASA's top specialist in the Bio-Astronautics Division, teaching the space explorer and cosmonaut crews of the International Space Station how to utilize ultrasonography for medical emergencies.
