Sandi Peterson Biography

Johnson & Johnson's Group Global Chairperson and a member of the Executive Committee is Sandra (Sandi) E. Peterson. Sandi joined Johnson & Johnson in December 2012 and is in charge of consumer-facing companies and enterprise capabilities. The Consumer Group of Companies, the consumer-focused medical device companies Johnson & Johnson Vision Care and Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Solutions, and the corporate division's Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain, Information Technology, Wellness and Prevention, and Global Strategic Design, fall under her purview. Sandi had a lengthy international career in consulting, consumer products, and healthcare before she joined Johnson & Johnson. She most recently served as the chairman and CEO of Bayer CropScience AG in Germany. She has previously held the positions of president and CEO of Bayer Medical Care and head of the Diabetes Care Division of Bayer HealthCare AG. Sandi had several executive posts at Medco Health Solutions before joining Bayer in 2005. (previously known as Merck-Medco). She was in charge of using information technology to improve healthcare systems. Sandi worked in strategy, finance, and product development at Whirlpool Corporation and headed research and development, quality and regulatory affairs, and procurement at Nabisco, Inc. She began working for McKinsey & Company, Inc. as a consultant. Sandi has degrees in government and applied economics from Princeton University and Cornell University. She sits on The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation's board of directors.
