Rob Reich Biography

Rob Reich is a Stanford University's Graduate School of Education Professor. He is a Professor of Political Science and, by courtesy, a Professor of Philosophy. Additionally, he is the Director of the Center for Ethics in Society and the Associate Director of the Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Initiative. Reich is also the Co-Director of the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society. His primary areas of focus are ethics, public policy, and technology. Reich has authored numerous publications, including the book "Just Giving: Why Philanthropy is Failing Democracy and How It Can Do Better." He has received various awards for his teaching, including the Walter J. Gores Award. Before his career in academia, Reich taught sixth-grade students.
