Oscar Morales Biography

Oscar Morales Guevara is a Colombian national. In 1997 he obtained his degree as a Civil Engineer along with a diploma in Project Management. Later on, he studied Web Development and Software Programming. Oscar founded “One Million Voices Against FARC”. Using Facebook, he organised the “NO MORE FARC” protest of February 4th 2008, the largest rally ever organised in the history of Colombia, mobilising more than 12 million people in over 200 cities around the world. Since then, Oscar has kept demanding the FARC release the 700 people who remain kidnapped, and calling for an end to the terrorism perpetrated by the guerrilla fighters. He recently founded the “One Million Voices” Foundation.

Oscar has spoken at Facebook in California, at New York advertizing Week VIII and was the main speaker at the Alliance of Youth Movements Summit in New York, an event gathering more than 25 youth organisations against terrorism, violence and oppression around the world. His mission is to show the reality of his country and to show the power and real impact of social networking.
