Kaushik heads HR for Convergys Information Management (India) the telecom billing products and solutions and IT development arm of Convergys a global leader in relationship management. In his current role Kaushik is responsible for leading the development and implementation of human resource programs and processes for Convergys' India Offshore Development Center employees. Before joining Convergys Kaushik had a broad experience in working with best- in-class companies across multiple sectors such as ITC Ltd (the Indian associate of BAT) Madura Coats/Madura Garments (the Indian subsidiary of Coats Vyella plc.) OfficeTiger Database Systems (now a part of RR Donnelley) and Bharti Airtel Ltd. He also had a short pre-MBA stint as a sub-editor News Desk at the Kolkata based daily The Telegraph. His significant achievements include setting up a INR 450 crore (INR 4.5 Billion) state-of-the art greenfield cigarette manufacturing facility (including people systems processes and structures training & communication and all legal/statutory approvals) for ITC Ltd Bangalore besides managing the merger between Aditya Birla Nuvo and Madura Garments restructuring Madura Garments' organizational structure around brands ensuring fast-paced ramp-ups at OfficeTiger Airtel and Convergys' ODC. Kaushik's strategies in managing industry best levels of retention in the Fashion & Retailing and ITES sectors have been much appreciated. He was also instrumental in creating blue-prints for managerial career management and a Learning Center for ITC Ltd internal benchmarks in the area of recognition systems and processes in ITC Ltd setting up new lines of business at OfficeTiger representing ITC Ltd on the CII Eastern Regional Sub-committee on HR TQM & Employee Empowerment (1992) and GMCI Bangalore (1998) and being among the regional awardees of AIMA's National Young Managers' Competition (1994).
